Description
The Bi-metal self drilling screw is uniquely produced from 2 materials, also called Bi-Metal.
At the transition between the drill point and the flat thread, the Zinc drill point and the stainless steel A2 body are ground together. This special machining ensures a strong drill point and a Stainless Steel attachment to your facade.
Drill point should be about 10 mm away from the rear structure to prevent corrosion.
Application
The Bi-metal self drilling screw is designed for processing O.a. HPL & Fiber cement facades to aluminum structures.
Processing Instructions
Process drilling screw with standard cordless screwdriver – not with impact screwdriver
Use only the supplied screw bit for assembly
Replace each package of screw bit (standard delivery is 1 screw bit per box)
Do not use magnetic bit holders
Number of screws per plate and corresponding edge distances: see manufacturer’s instructions.
Maintenance
The screws can be cleaned with water or a mild soap solution and a soft sponge in the event of any soiling caused by environmental or climatic influences (e.g. sawdust during façade construction, soot deposits, flash rust in coastal areas, etc.).
When using a soap solution after cleaning, rinse the facade with water
The use of solvents or solvents for cleaning is not permitted.
