Description
Topdrill chipboard screw is produced from a stainless steel-410. This special type of stainless steel is manufactured without the addition of nickel. This allows this material, through heating, to become nail-hardened. This makes these screws just as strong as hardened steel screws, making them up to twice as strong as stainless steel screws. No more screws breaking off when screwing in. Because there is no nickel in this type of stainless steel, the corrosion resistance compared to stainless steel A2 remains slightly behind. The screws are optionally available in RAL colors with Qualycoat scratch-resistant coating that is resistant to weathering.
Processing instructions
Topdrill chipboard screw with standard cordless screwdrivers – not with impact screwdrivers.
Number of screws per board and corresponding edge distances: see board manufacturer’s instructions.
Maintenance
The screws can be cleaned with water or a mild soap solution and a soft sponge in case of contamination caused by environmental or climatic influences (e.g. saw dust during the construction of the façade, soot deposits, corrosion escape in coastal areas, etc.).
