Description
The V-nose profile B is mainly used for horizontal application and is generally perceived as an aesthetically pleasing profile, however, the profile is not watertight but water-resistant. A joint with a V-nose profile B should therefore be considered a semi-open joint. This means that the drainage of rainwater in the rear structure must be guaranteed. In the area of the vertical battens, a weather-resistant joint tape is recommended to protect the battens from moisture as best as possible. In general, the V-nose profile is fixed by clamping it between the boards. If the profile is fixed mechanically, it is recommended to work with fixed points and slotted holes.
The profiles are of high quality and are used for Rockpanel facade and interior construction. As standard, these profiles (working material number AlMgSi0.5) are supplied in lengths of 3.055 meters with a natural anodized surface treatment of 15 Mu. XL-Panel can supply these specific profiles on a project basis in any NCS, Sikkens or RAL design color. The powder-coated profiles are produced with the Qualicoat® quality label in the standard RAL colors. There is also a choice of various gloss degrees of 78% (gloss) or 58% (matt). Furthermore, the material thickness of at least 1.1 mm guarantees a (minimal) chance of buckling of the profiles at the location of a free span.
